The Hispanic Society of America features art and artifacts from the Spanish, Portuguese, and Latin American cultures. The library at the museum features over 15,000 books created before 1700, including a first edition of "Don Quixote." Pieces of art displayed at the museum include works by artists such as Diego Velazquez, Francisco Goya and El Greco. The museum is located in the Beaux Art Building in the Washington Heights area of the city.
