Dia:Chelsea plays an important role in the international artistic community as a preserver of art projects as well a locus for discussion and criticism in the artistic field. The center uses its space in Chelsea to display exhibitions of work, as well as present public programming like the Artists on Artists Discussion Series and the Robert Lehman Lecture Series. The gallery is located a block south of Chelsea Waterside Park, in Chelsea.
