The Mount Vernon Hotel was originally constructed in 1799 as a carriage house and became a hotel in 1826. Visitors to the museum can take a guided tour of the historic building, which features eight fully furnished period rooms and beautifully manicured gardens. The site is located on the eastern side of the island, seven blocks east of the southern edge of Central Park.
Open Tue. - Sun., 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Adults $8; Students and Seniors $7; Children under 12 are free.
