Merchants House Museum was originally a Greek Revival residence built in 1832 for Seabury Treadwell and his family. The historic residence is the only fully intact 19th-century home in the city, featuring eight period-furnished rooms displaying the possessions of the family as well as a 19th century-style garden. The museum is located near the Bowery neighborhood, just east of the NYU campus.
